How can I maximize my attendance?

We often get asked: am I ready? How should I prepare? This section covers the questions that come up most.

Am I ready? What experience level do I need?

You are ready exactly as you are. No preparation is necessary.

What if I'm nervous about the pool training?

The spirit of the event is challenging and supportive. There is a version of the pool training for every level — including only going into the parts of the pool where you can comfortably stand with your head above water.

That said, all parts of the event are optional. If you prefer not to get into the pool, you can spend that time on land-based mobility, on fire and ice recovery, or connecting with other attendees outside the pool. You choose.

What should I eat the day of?

Eat a satisfying, nutritious breakfast before coming, and hydrate well.

What do I need to bring?

Not much. A full checklist will be sent before the event. Generally speaking: comfortable workout clothes, a swimsuit, goggles, a towel, and a water bottle. Sunscreen is optional but recommended.
